How does it work? |
What is the platform?
We use ZOOM (c) for this seminar series. Attendees have to register to be able to join the conference room. Cameras and microphones will be inactive for the attendees.
Why do you need to register?
We want to know who is interested in the seminar, to measure the impact of this seminar series. Personal data will not be shared, only location information will be evaluated. Also the link you receive will be unique, so we don't have an open seminar room.
How does the questioning period work?
There is a hand wave button when you join as an attendee. Once you klick it the moderator will un-mute you and you can ask your question. Alternatively you can leave your question in the chat and the moderator will read it to the speaker.
Will the seminars be available on demand?
Each session will be recorded, if the speakers agree to do so. The recording will be available for 24 h and registration will be asked again. This hopefully allows people to participate who have other commitments or live in another time zone.
Who moderates the online-seminars?
This online-seminar series was initiated by Dr. Christian Hering-Junghans (LIKAT, Rostock) and is supported by the "AG P-Chemie" (phosphorus interest group) of the GdCh. Christian will moderate the seminars, with the occasional guest moderator.
Can I become a speaker?
If you are an early career researcher or have an established research group in the field of phosphorus or group 15 chemistry in general reach out to Christian directly via email.
